5 Napkin

One of our many delightful meals one our birthday trip to New York was at 5 Napkin.  It’s fairly well documented that i’m a bit of a burger fiend, constantly on the lookout for the best possible burger ever.  Well, this one was pretty special indeed; it now takes the top spot (and i’ve been to MeatLIQUOR, the home of the supposedly most delicious burger ever.  It makes that one seem meh.)

We arrived and greeted by smiling front of house, and escorted to a small booth.  As I was on holiday, it seemed only right to have a glass of prosecco too (my 2 favourite things… bubbles and beef…)  I chose a Classic Cheese (8 oz. fresh ground beef, american cheese, raw onion, lettuce, tomato, pickles, sesame brioche roll).  It was absolutely dripping with flavour, and cooked a perfect (requested) medium.  Lovely chips too.

Still had room for a dessert (of course!), and the Espresso Brownie Sundae (vanilla ice cream, espresso caramel, whipped cream & salted peanuts) was just singing to me.  And delicious it was!

Highly recommended!  I’d say if you like Shake Shack and Five Guys (both recently opened on these shores), then try 5 Napkin instead of joining those queues; you won’t be disappointed.
